Nadal vs Berdych Wimbledon 2010 Final
At the age of 24 Rafael Nadal has already won his 8th Grand Slam titles. After he suffered the knee injury last year a lot of people were doubting his ability in winning any grand slam but now he has proved them wrong by winning two grand slams in a row in 4 weeks. The guy is a genius. Millions of promotional merchandise were distributed after his triumph at Roland Garros and SW14 and if you recently been to Spain you will see these merchandises in every shops and home in Spain. It looks like it will be Spain’s year but can Holland and Germany upset the odds, who knows.
The start of the Wimbledon this year was fantastic. Since the first week we got to see some fantastic matches. Players who were not seeded were giving a lot of tops players big problems. Nadal and Federer both had 5 set matches in the first week. Remember that marathon match between two good players Mahut and Isner. Their match was the longest match in the history of tennis let alone Wimbledon. Isner eventually beat Mahut 70-68 in the fifth set.
The weather also played it parts. There was no rain in Wimbledon this year since 1995, which was surprising. No rain in London? Surprising isn’t it? The tournament finished in two weeks and saw a new champion in the form of Rafael Nadal who beat Czech Thomas Berdych in straight sets in the final.
Hence why all Spanish fans nowadays are wearing promotional clothing of Rafael Nadal’s wimbledon crown and wishing him all the best for US Open. Even I have bought some promotional pens, which clearly says Rafa is the best well not literally. I know few people who would love this as a gift as they absolutely adore Nadal.
Some people have already started saying this was the best Wimbledon ever, but what do you think?
